Outdoor Classroom Domes

Solardomes can also be used as educational domes that are ideal for hands on teaching.

Schools use the domes for Mathematics’ lessons including the geometry of a geodesic dome, which is made up of triangles, hexagons and pentagons.

Science and environmental studies are often performed in the dome. Making a mini Eden Solardome filled with exotic plants is an ideal way to practically teach children about growing and the environment. Universities at Bangor and Lancaster each use several domes to study environmental global warming and plant research due to the Solardome's perfectly balanced micro climate.

The Solardome is also a wonderful way to re-create a visit to the Eden Project or the Centre for Alternative Technology. Stormont House School, below designed their own garden of Eden for science and art lessons.
