SOLARDOME® glasshouse ranges

We have two ranges of domes for the domestic and commercial markets:

The SOLARDOME® Skylights which are designed to be sited on existing buildings, or walls, to give a unique skylight addition to the roof or atrium. As skylights these geodesic domes have no door or door frame and windows are optional depending on the application. They have a low profile shape and are very aerodynamic. There are three standard Skylight domes in the range, SD 2 (4.5m), SD 3 (5.94m) and SD 4 (7.56m). For safety, we recommend you choose toughened glass and in some applications an additional safety or thermal film is recommended to go over the glass. Prices for this range start at £9,950 excluding VAT.

We also have our main SOLARDOME® for outdoor living range for the garden or to go on a flat roof. These geodesic domes are designed as outdoor rooms to be used for growing plants and as a relaxing space where you can enjoy the feeling of being outdoors but protected from the elements. We also sell free standing staging units to go in the domes for growing your own produce. Please ask for more details.

There are four standard geodesic domes in the range. The SOLARDOME®: Haven (4.52m), Retreat (6.11m), Sanctuary (7.75m) and the Paradise (10m). As standard, outdoor living domes come with 4mm toughened glass, base level ventilation, mechanical window winder units at mid and roof levels and a secure inward opening conservatory-style door. Prices for this range start at £12,166 excluding VAT

Planning Permission
Generally, if the dome is positioned in your garden over 5m away from the house and you have plenty of space none of our standard domes - including the SD Sanctuary (7.75m) - require planning permission. However, if you live in a listed building, an area of outstanding natural beauty, or a conservation area, please check with your local planning office.

Please note - All of our domes are 4mm single glazed and designed to be free standing garden buildings and are not designed to meet building regulations or be habitable dwellings.
