We can provide a range of accessories and advice to help you maximise the investment in your SOLARDOME® glasshouses. Please contact us if you require more information.

Shading

We provide triangular shade sails to attached to the dome frame. Each triangular shade sail covers one fith of the top third of the dome.· You can stack the shades on top of one another in the winter.· You can have any number of shades up to 5 - which would cover the top third of the dome all the way around.

Protective Films

We can provide various films to cover the top section of the dome. These films are a permanant feature and have a 5-10 year guarantee depending on the film chosen. All films block 99% of UV rays.· Film options include UV reflective film to act as a shade and reduce heat inside the dome. Safety film - to hold the glass in place no matter what. Good for vandal protection. Coloured film to make interesting artwork in the dome roof.

Multicoloured internal frame

We can powder coat the internal frame of the SOLARDOME® glasshouses to highlight the geodesic shape. It is a good way to help the pupils find various geometry in the dome. There are pentagons, hexagons, triangles, stars all around the dome.·· The external dome is still silver/grey in colour.

Doors

All of our domes come with one door as standard. We can supply up to two extra doors per dome if required. We can also design bespoke double doors for the larger models. Please ask for more details.

Hooks

Hooks for attaching hanging baskets or experiments within the dome can be supplied at a cost of £18 for six. Please contact us for more information.

Linking domes

If you would prefer to have more than one dome in your grounds, we are able to link them together with small tunnels to create a mini Eden style concept. This is especially striking if you are aiming to create a cross-curricular setting by using separate domes for different purposes. Please call us to discuss your requirements.

Window vents

SOLARDOME® glasshouses can be supplied with a maximum of: five window vents in the roof, and ten window vents around the sides. Please see the relevant specification for the number of standard window vents supplied in each dome. You may want to consider installing more window vents if your educational establishment is in the South of England.

Please note that whilst we would be delighted to provide staging for your dome, unfortunately we are unable to install it. There will also be a packing and delivery charge depending on the size of the order. Please contact us for a detailed quote.
