Corporate Social Responsibility

We believe in operating an ethical business. For us, this means acting responsibly in all that we do.

Supporting the local community

As part of our Christian ethical approach, we commit to donating 10% of our profits to charity. Over the last few years, we are pleased to have been able to support a variety of charitable organisations. A couple of ongoing charities we support include Southampton City Mission and Christians Against Poverty.  We also donated a Solardome® glasshouse and our time to Children in Need, and their refurbishment of The Yard Children’s Centre in Edinburgh.

Southampton City Mission
Based in Southampton, Southampton City Mission is a local charity who offer a Basics Bank and Marketplace to those in need, as well as working with local schools as part of their outreach programme.

Christians Against Poverty
CAPUK is a UK based christian charity who offer debt management advice, job clubs and life skills to those who need support.

Reducing our impact on the environment

We strive for our domes to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

Due to their sun trapping shape and 97% light transmitting glass not only does a Solardome® glasshouse require less energy to heat it than a standard glasshouse, it is also great for helping our customers live a sustainable lifestyle and reduce their carbon footprint.

Our domes are also constructed from 79% recycled aluminium, and whilst customers will not need to worry about a replacement for decades, they can be assured that all or our glass and aluminium domes are recyclable at the end of their long lives.

Supporting the local economy

We work hard to ensure that our suppliers are UK companies, supporting the British economy and minimising our impact on travel and the environment where possible.
